Dr. Ravi Inder was introduced by the  Principal Dr. Dharam Singh Sandhu who informed the students that he is the Director of Panjab University Regional Centre and Resident Coordinator who has written 2 books and 20 research papers in various national and international journals. Dr. Ravi Inder talked about the role of an individual in nation building. He stressed on the fact that the youth are the game changers. He raised another question on different parameters used to guage the development of the nation. Human development index, ease of business and internal peace were discussed. He said," We were shreshth, we have deteriorated. You! The youth can only make or break this nation." He made a startling connection between success and social service. He defined success by way of saint Kabir ji's doha
"Jab hum aye jagat mei, Jag Hansa; hum roye;
Aisi krni kar chlo, hum hanse; Jag roye."
This is not possible without taking care of  society. If you are self centered, you can never taste this kind of success. You may become a billionaire but you may not be truly successful. Reward from economic activities may take you to higher levels but social work has much more strength and the reward and recognition from society is much more.
