Program on the 'Research Methodology' held at GCG

 One week Virtual National Faculty Development Programme held at GCG 

Around 600 participants from all over India has registered themselves

A one week virtual National Faculty Development programme on the topic  'Research Methodology' was organized by IQAC GCG, Ludhiana. This programme has been initiated with the motive to polish research skills amongst the faculty. Around 600 participants from all over India has registered themselves for FDP.  Dr. Pawan Kumar, Associate Professor, Mittal School of Business, Lovely Professional University, Punjab was the resource person for the programme. The chief target of the programme was to develop systematic approach to research among scholars, faculty and students. Through this programme, faculty and research scholars got to know about the fundamentals of research and application of parametric and non-parametric tests through SPSS. Topics covered were questionnaire design, validity and reliability, Analysis of variance (ANOVA), Multivariate analysis-facto analysis, and research paper writing. Daily Questionnaires and Practice Sheets were given to the participants. After every session, queries were answered to the satisfaction of the participants. Principal, Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur applauded the efforts of IQAC team of Govt. College for Girls, Ludhiana. She said that this platform has not only enriched the minds of faculty but has also given them new horizons to work in a well planned and systematic manner. She appreciated Dr. Pawan Kumar for his incredible knowledge and command on the subject. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rajiv Sehgal and Dr. Pritam Kaur, Co-ordinator IQAC. At this FDP organising secretary, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and the core team of IQAC were also present. E-Certificates will be issued to all the participants. The FDP concluded on a positive note.

Mega event eDhanak at CT University

 1083 students from 47 schools participated

In a mega competitive event e-Dhanak 2021, 1083 students from 47 schools of the region participated at CT University, Ludhiana. The event was inaugurated by Chancellor Charanjit S Channi, Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh and Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti.

In this, 16 different events took place like CT Sur Sartaj, Indian Heritage Dance (Folk Dance), painting, cartooning, poster making, rangoli, elocution, quiz, clay modelling, etc all via online mode.  Students from schools namely Guru Nanak International Public School, Ludhiana; HVM Convent School, SDN International Public School; Guru Nanak School, Bassian; Baba Ganda Singh Sen. Sec. School, Langrian, Amargarh and Dashmesh Public Sen Sec School , Bilaspur, etc. participated enthusiastically.

The participants won cash prizes in different events. The first prize in Solo Dance was bagged by Ekpreet Singh from Guru Nanak International Public School, Ludhiana; in ‘Just Debate’ 1st prize was won by Guru Nanak Internatonal School Ludhiana’s Tanveer Kaur and Ravneet Kaur, in ‘Story Building’ 1st prize from Amrit Indo Canadian School by Harshita Nehra, in ‘Declamation’ 1st prize by Sneha Singh, in ‘face painting’ the first prize was bagged by HVM Convent Senior Secondary School, Basti Jodewal. 

Telling about the motive behind this event Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor said, “This year pandemic hit us all but our spirits to honour the talents did not stop. We switched to online mode but the fun and learning went hand in hand. All the events were perfectly handled online as well. The prize distribution ceremony was held offline.”
