The 21st Annual Educational Fair

"Russian Education-2020" was held in India

The 21st Annual Educational Fair "Russian Education - 2020" was held in India from 16 to 18 August. The event was organized by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi and its traditional partner-the educational company RusEducation, which has been helping Indian citizens to enrol in Russian universities for over 20 years.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibition was organized on the basis of a specially created online platform. This format made it possible to significantly increase the scale of the event and provide access to it for applicants throughout the country. The educational exhibition provided an opportunity for students and their parents to communicate directly with university representatives via video communication and online chat, and to submit their application online. Visitors were presented with video tours and photo galleries of Russian universities and the cities in which they are located, as well as reviews from former and current students. In just two days of the exhibition, it was visited by more than 10 thousand people, with a peak activity of two thousand visitors at a time.

This year, 10 Russian universities took part in the exhibition, including: Perm State Medical University, Orenburg State Medical University, Mari State University, Moscow Aviation Institute, Southern Federal University, Siberian State Medical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, Ural Federal University, Novosibirsk State University and Far Eastern Federal University.

A series of webinars was held on the side-lines of the virtual educational fair, at which participating universities presented their organizations, spoke about the available programs and answered questions from Indian applicants.

A Virtual Round table Conference “Education in Russia. Perspectives for Indian Students amid the Coronavirus Pandemic" also took place within the framework of the educational fair. The event was held on the ZOOM platform with live broadcast on Facebook and the exhibition website.

The main speakers of the conference were: Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Veremeenko, Rector of Orenburg State Medical University Igor Miroshnichenko, Rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technical University Oleg Baulin, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of Perm State Medical University Natalia Minaeva, Head of International Affairs Department of Mari State University Natalia Kanashina, Chairman of RusEducation, Professor Syed Kamruzzaman, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India Fedor Rozovsky, Co-Chairman of RusEducation Admiral R. K. Dhowan (Retd),  Vice Chairman of RusEducation Air Marshal (Dr) Pawan Kapoor (Retd) and others.

The event participants shared their experience in developing the infrastructure of their universities to ensure a more comfortable stay for foreign students, introducing new English-language programs, working in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, and also discussed the prospects for further development of interaction between our states in the field of higher education and the most pressing issues we face in this area.
The second stage of the online exhibition will take place in September 2020.

Freedom Fervor of BCM Aryans

The joyous spirit of Independence was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the tiny tots of BCM Arya School , Lalton. To reflect upon this celebration a virtual school assembly and potluck party were organised for kids of classes Nursery to UKG in the context of Independence Day. It commenced with the school prayer to invoke the blessings of Almighty. Students presented speech on patriotism, danced on patriotic songs ‘I love my India’ , Sare Jahan se acha’. ‘Potluck party’ was another attraction in which the students relished tricolour dishes like rainbow rice, rainbow sandwiches, tricoloured pizza ,idlis , salad. Teachers taught tiny tots about dining manners also . The parent fraternity was overjoyed to see the performances of their little ones. The school principal, Dr. Paramjit Kaur complimented the teachers and the parents for their overwhelming response in coming together to put up a wonderful and joyful assembly in the context of Independence Day.

PCTE’S BCA student Manmeet Kaur bags 3rd Position

Manmeet Kaur, a BCA student (batch 2019) of PCTE Group of Institutes did tremendously well in the I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Examination and bagged third position with 9.68 CGPA.

Manmeet Kaur said “PCTE has helped me in every aspect of being a good student. A year back I would have never thought of achieving 3rd position in university exams. The credit definitely goes to my dedicated teachers who've helped me in every way they could.”

She further added by saying “Today, I look at myself and feel proud on how much I have evolved professionally and mentally by this college in just one year.”

Mr. Harinder Pal Singh, Head of Department, Faculty of Computer Applications, said that, Manmeet Kaur had put a lot of efforts and was totally dedicated to her studies which ultimately helped her to secure the university position. He further said that she has always performed exceptionally well and has actively participated during the lectures.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the student and said that “The Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
