Entrepreneurship and mental health are completely related to each other. If there is any problem in one of these, then the matter starts deteriorating. Both are needed in life. All these nuances were also discussed in a special seminar related to this.

Doaba Business School, playing a leading role in the field of education, organized a seminar on 'Entrepreneurship and Mental Health' with the aim of making students a successful entrepreneur. Meanwhile, Rozi Gul, Head of Paramedical Department of Doaba Business School, hosted the program. In the program, subject expert Dr. Shiv Kumar Gautam motivated the students with his motivational speech. Addressing the students on this occasion, Dr. Shiv Kumar Gautam said that there is no short cut to success. Success is achieved only through perseverance, hard work and passion. He said that these three conditions are essential for success in any field of life.

During this program organized to make the students of Doaba Business School successful entrepreneurs, the Group's Managing Vice Chairman S S Sangha honored the speakers by giving them mementoes. On this occasion, apart from others, Director Placement Dr. Harpreet Roy, Principal of Doaba College of Pharmacy Dr. Preet Mahinder Singh, Principal of Doaba College of Education Dr. Sukhjinder Singh and Dean Student Welfare Madam Maninder Pal Kaur were present.

At the end of the program, Principal of Doaba Business School Dr. Meenu Jaitley presented the vote of thanks and encouraged the students to face every challenge. During the program, the students also put many questions in front of the speakers present, which the speakers answered in very simple and clear words and satisfied the students. This program organized by the group to make students successful entrepreneurs turned out to be a memorable one.

Looking at this successful event, it seems that more such events are very necessary in different areas of Punjab because for complete success, it is very important to convey all the details to every student.

National Seminar at D. D. Jain College of Education

D. D. Jain College of Education organized National Seminar on “Attitude of Students and Teachers Educators towards two years Teacher Education Programme” in collaboration with College Development Council Panjab University, Chandigarh on Wednesday, 26th February, 2020. The Seminar covers a wide range of very interesting sub themes ranging from “Issues and Challenges in Teacher Education in India”, “Attitude of Students towards two years Teacher Education Programme” to “Attitude of Teacher Educators towards two years Teacher Education Programme” and any other relevant topic.
The resource persons for the seminar included Dr. Jatinder Grover, Dean Faculty of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Prof. Amit Kauts, Head and Dean Faculty of Education, GNDU, Amritsar and Prof. Kulwinder Singh, Department of Education and Community Services, Punjabi University, Patiala.
Dr. Vijay Laxmi, Principal of the College extended the welcome address to all the dignitaries, resource persons and Principals from the various Colleges on the behalf of President Mr. Nand Kumar Jain and all other members of the managing committee.
The Programme came to formal end with valediction ceremony and vote of thanks.

Seminar on “Feministic Perspective on Entrepreneurship”

An interactive session on “Feministic Perspective on Entrepreneurship” was held at the MTSM College, Ludhiana for the students of Master in Business Administration Commerce & Information Technology (MBACIT) with LMA Young Innovative Entrepreneur  award winner Ms. Sandeep Riat , M.D Akal Spring Pvt Ltd. , Ludhiana  on Tuesday,  22 April 2014. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sandeep (Minnie) Riat guided the students regarding the mantra of  becoming a successful entrepreneur. She  mentioned her journey of becoming an  entrepreneur and contributions she made towards  the  overall growth of her enterprise. During her lecture she highlighted that  creator community is unique. They live with conviction,  passion  & optimism .While personally interacting with the students  she took a note of their enquiries too. Principal  Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kaur Chawla said that with the new generation stepping into the creative economy, building a global platform that makes  the process of  learning  imperative and absolutely necessary. At the end she proposed a vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to  the resource person for  sharing her thoughts with the students and congratulated the staff for  making the event a success.

DD Jain Women College Organized A National Seminar

A one day National Seminar on “Punjab During the Early Medieval Period: The Politico-Socio-Cultural Transitional Phase” sponsored by ICSSR, Panjab University, Chandigarh was organized at Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana on March 12, 2014. Ten papers were presented in two technical sessions.
The seminar began with ceremonial lighting of lamp and reciting of Namokar Mantra. A floral welcome was extended to the keynote speaker & chairperson of first technical session Dr. N.K. Ojha, Professor, Deptt. of A.I.H.C. & A., Panjab University, Chandigarh and chairperson of second technical session Dr. Ashvini Agarwal, Professor, Deptt. of A.I.H.C. & A., Panjab University, Chandigarh by Samaj Rattan Sh. Hira Lal Jain, Chairman of the college Managing Committee, Sh. Kedar Nath Jain President, Sh. Bipin Jain Secretary, Sh. Surinder Kumar Jain Manager, Sh. Raj Kumar Jain, Sh. Shanti Saroop Jain, Sr. Vice Presidents, Sh. Sheetal Kumar Jain Vice President and all the other worthy members of Managing Committee. In his keynote speech Dr. Ojha gave interesting insight into the political history, polity and economy of early medieval punjab and kind of religious cultural changes that transpired during the 6th -12th century.
Delegates presented papers on various sub themes including prevalence of untouchability status of women and shifting of political ideology in that age.
Dr. R.K. Sharma, Deptt. of Public Administration acted as the chief guest of valedictory session. All the guest were honoured by the members of Management Committee. Speaking on the occasion, college principal Dr. Sarita Bahl extended her gratitude to the guest for consenting to spare their time for the event. She also congratulated the members of organizing committee for putting in sincere efforts to make the seminar a success.
Seminar concluded with a valedictory report and distribution of certificates, followed by National Anthem.

The workshop was to empower the parents

We all aspire for great relationship and great results for your children and to achieve that we are ready to go to any extent. Answering such queries & resolving any and every issue regarding parenting. The Parenting Seminar received a huge response from the parents of Mother’s Pride, Ludhiana.

The workshop was to empower the parents to inculcate the values they always wanted to have in their children like:

  • Inculcating life skills
  • Dealing with Boredom - Enjoy doing stuff that you think is boring but essential

  • How do impart sex education to children
  • How do leverage the technology to the advantage of child

  • How to improve the eating habits of children
  • How do develop truthful communication and trust with your children
 Being an interactive session, all the parents discussed their queries to the fullest & went back contended & resolved.

Director of Mother’s Pride, Mr. Shobhan Soi also addressed the parents regarding the importance of such parenting sessions & acknowledged all for their valuable time.

IELTS workshop at Ludhiana

A special seminar held for the students by Kapri Institute
Ashwin Pandey of British Council taught the key secrets of English speaking
Life is not easy according to our dreams and imagination. In real life we have to rise and work to fulfill our dreams. We can change our life...and the world also but skill of English speaking is an urgent condition for the success. A seminar cum special training held at Ludhiana by the Kapri Institute of English speaking. Mr. Ashwin Pandey market manager, examination service British Council was the key speaker in the seminar.More than 150 students benefited from this special session. 

Mr. Ashwin Pandey announced that two new British Council IELTS test centresare started in Punjab. From 16the May students can also take tests in Moga and Bathinda with the British Council. He also announced scholarships given by the British Council. He told the students about road to IELTS which is free online training session for all IELTS aspirants. he also guided the candidates about all the steps and modules of IELTS. 

Speaking on the occasion, Anjali Chawla, Head of the Department of IELTS at the Kapri Institute said that teachers are trained by British Council. She said that Kapri has also a test registration centre for the British Council and has already trained more than 16,000 students.

Nitin Chawla, director marketing Kapri Institute said kapri held such workshops every year to help students to update skills. He also thanked Mr. Ashwin Pandey and Miss Harjot Kalsi for delivering the wonderful presentation to the students.
