PCTE’s Nukkad Natak Spreads Awareness with Impact

The campus of PCTE Group of Institutes came alive as students performed Nukkad Natak 2025, a two-day event aimed at spreading social awareness through street plays. The event drew enthusiastic participation from both senior and junior wings, who used creativity and performance to address social and cultural issues with emotion and humour.

The Senior Wing event, held on October 11 at Rose Garden, featured 15 teams presenting impactful acts on themes such as Punjab Bolda (preserving Punjabi culture), Mard ka Dard (men’s mental health), AI as a ThreatViolence and Its Consequences, and Social Media Influence. Teams like The Traitors, Mad-Techies, Glitch Gang, The Mavericks, and AI Avengers stood out for their strong performances and messages.

The Junior Wing, held on October 12 at Rakh Bagh, saw 39 teams including Junoonverse, Fantastico, Paradox, and Dream Weavers perform on youth empowerment, environmental awareness, gender equality, and social unity.

Performances were judged on message, acting, and presentation by theatre experts Mr. Brij Mohan Bhardwaj and Mr. Balwinder, who praised the originality and energy of the students.

Dr. Swapan Chanana, Director of Student Welfare, commended students for addressing meaningful social issues, while Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General, appreciated their creativity and reaffirmed PCTE’s commitment to providing platforms that encourage awareness and expression.

With Festaweek 2025 underway, PCTE continues to promote learning beyond classrooms fostering creativity, awareness, and community engagement among its students.

PCTE’S BCA student Manmeet Kaur bags 3rd Position

Manmeet Kaur, a BCA student (batch 2019) of PCTE Group of Institutes did tremendously well in the I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Examination and bagged third position with 9.68 CGPA.

Manmeet Kaur said “PCTE has helped me in every aspect of being a good student. A year back I would have never thought of achieving 3rd position in university exams. The credit definitely goes to my dedicated teachers who've helped me in every way they could.”

She further added by saying “Today, I look at myself and feel proud on how much I have evolved professionally and mentally by this college in just one year.”

Mr. Harinder Pal Singh, Head of Department, Faculty of Computer Applications, said that, Manmeet Kaur had put a lot of efforts and was totally dedicated to her studies which ultimately helped her to secure the university position. He further said that she has always performed exceptionally well and has actively participated during the lectures.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the student and said that “The Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”

PCTE Organized Its Annual Convocation-2019

Around 500 graduates were awarded their degrees

PCTE Group of Institutes organized its  Annual Convocation function, 2019 at PCTE Campus – II. On the occasion, Prof. Sarit K Dass, Director, IIT Ropar, was the Honorable Chief Guest. Around 500 graduates were awarded their degrees in various disciplines like MBA, MBA-IB, MCA, M Pharmacy, B Pharmacy, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Medical Lab Sciences, BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BCA, BHMCT, Journalism & Mass Communication, Fashion Designing and ATHM. Keeping in mind the significant presence of the international students on campus, there was a representation of students from 52 countries including India with their respective flags. 

The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest,  Prof. Sarit K Dass, where he congratulated the students for the completion of their degree. Prof Sarit spoke on how to make life interesting & meaningful. At the same time, he said we should not bother about our beginning from where we have started, we have a long way to go. He further said that to make life meaningful, we have to be humble & grounded and should also be companionate towards people around us.

The students were awarded trophies for their excellent performance, where Mr. Shobhan Soi, a student of the batch of 2001-2003 was rewarded as “The Best Alumni Award” for his outstanding professional and personal success. Mr. Ahmed Osam Abdul Muhsen from Syria, a student of BCA batch 2016-19 was awarded Wg.Cdr. H.S.Gill award for his overall excellent performance. He said, “I am happy to receive this prestigious award after completion of my course. He added by saying “It is a defining moment in every student's life-giving his self-esteem a boost”

College colours awards were rewarded to the students for their excellent performance in the cultural events, where Anurag Madaan from B.Com was awarded for her superb performance in Theatrical Events, Amandeep Singh from MBA 2nd Year for Dancing, Bhupinder Kaur from B.Pharma for Music, Puneet Pal Singh from BBA for Athletics, Rajwinder Singh from Journalism for power lifting and Paras Bhola from BHMCT for Literary. 

Dr K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said he was glad that the graduation ceremony went off really well. He congratulated the graduates on the completion of their education and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
