Ludhiana: 1st May 2022: (Education Screen Bureau)::The much-awaited convocation at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Ludhiana was held today, with over 300 degrees conferred upon the students of various streams from Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, M.L.A. Amritsar (North) and Former I.P.S. The pious academic event witnessed the benign presence of Dr. S.P. Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, Other members of the council S. Gajinder Singh, S. Hardeep Singh, S. Harsharan Singh Narula, Dr. Arvinder Singh Bhalla, College Principal, Faculty Members, and Students. Dr. S. P. Singh accorded a floral welcome to the Chief Guest and described the college's illustrious past, saying that it is a place where students are taught and schooled in the art of achieving their aspirations. This distinguished institution's graduates have achieved success in a variety of sectors, including academics, administration, judiciary, politics, social service, literary activities, and sports, and have brought laurel to their alma mater. He also congratulated the degree recipients and wished them success in the future.
In his presidential remarks, Dr. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, the event's Chief guest, commended and thanked the worthy members of the Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, the Principal, teachers, and students. He told the students that, thanks to science and technology, the entire globe has become globalised and connected; even national education systems are evolving and changing, and individuals are adopting new ways and strategies to keep up with the changing environment.
Two autonomous authorities in India, the UGC and the AICTE, have created Skill Orientated Programs to make education more career-oriented, as it is not only necessary to obtain degrees but also to possess skills in order to obtain a good job.
Dr. Arvinder Singh , the Principal, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, members of the management committee, professors, and students, saying that convocation day is one of the most memorable and precious days in a student's life. In today's competitive environment, he believes that education and information plays a pivotal role. As a result, rather than following in the footsteps of others, pupils must forge their own route. It will also assist them in developing their own distinct identity. Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT/GGNIVS, and Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal, GGNIMT spared time from their valuable and busy schedule to be a part of this proud event. Prof. Jatinder Kapoor and Dr. Gurpreet Singh conducted the stage in a commendable manner during the event.
